Plastic surgery history can be traced somewhat the globe. In India brick makers would try to reconstruct noses cut off as punishment for adultery virtually 300 BC. In Italy around the 16thcentury Gasparo Tagliocozzi pioneered the technique of repairing facial scars that were results of duels. But it wasn’t until the early twentieth century that plastic surgery took off in the unite States. Around the turn of the twentieth century many surgeons refused to act the surgery they termed “beauty” surgery. They thought that plastic surgery contradicted the Hippocratic Oath they took on not doing harm to their patients. Author of “_Venus __Envy:A history of Cosmetic Surgery” _Elizabeth Haiken said “all of what we impose plastic surgery today in the United States started stunned in Europe with Jacques Joseph in Germany doing rhinoplasty, Suzanne Noel smoothing wrinkles in Paris, and French, British, and American soldiers playacting what is now known as maxillofacial surgery during the maiden world war” (Haiken 1997 pg.82).
