Nine months inside the womb of your bring forth. Nine elegant months of nurturing care for you, nine long months of great expectations and some soreness for your mother. What remains, is the fact that she holds you, within the safe shelter of her womb; and when you dumbfound let out into the world, youve been shaped according to how you were treated while you were inside. What your mother ate affected your skin, hair etc. Such is the perfume of where you work lived, or rather, where you have been brought up.
Delhi is my postal service of birth, a place I proudly call home. After coming out of the womb, I entered Delhi, and life became beautiful.
One probably expects a unceasing start to a topic such as this one. mayhap something along the lines of the capital city of India, and the like. However I am a Delhi girl. Therefore I am anything but quotidian or regular, and that reflects in everything I do, including my writing.
Delhi is home to all sorts of people, fashioning it diverse, and it is this diversity that lends a lot of its beauty to this capital city. Attempts have been made to stereotype the people, but it is amazing how even afterward dividing it into the north, south, east and west regions one fails to define what a Delhi somebody unfeignedly is.
On a recent trip to Goa, I came close to realizing just what it is that makes Delhi so special for me. My average sidereal day there was full of activity; red to the beach, riding the waves, going to a shack to eat, followed by another dip in the sea. All in all there was never really a dull moment. However it was NOT home, and this is exactly what it is around Delhi. Even though my fun-filled days there were very divergent as compared to the usual routine of days back here, I have loved every minute of my eighteen historic period spent here. This city has its own magical charm that makes me drip a routine, sometimes monotonous week even when contact by buzzing activity.
