Theres something very calming about looking out over a tranquil lake, its surface as smooth as glass, reflecting the beautiful summer sky. The sounds of the splashing waves against the shore provide no better cure for insomnia. These are exactly the things I sense when at the lake. The serenity and peacefulness of the area is unmatched by any other. That, coupled with the laughter, love and fun displayed by the many family and friends that claim the area as their beloved hide-away from the world, makes it the special induct it is to me.

If someone asked me to relate my idea of a perfect vacation, it would be everything that the lake has to offer. To walk a dour the sandy beach, composed of logs cautiously placed to protect the fragile shoreline, and feel the wet sand cottony and moist between my toes is better than any massage or treatment for the travel-weary soles of my feet. Small squirrels and chipmunks play tag through the idealistic treetops, flitting from tree to tree all the while announcing their irritation at each other with little chirps and squeaks. The Deer of the fields pick out their babies out to run themselves to exhaustion and watch us carefully should we make any wrong moves.



It is very much a family retreat, where a large number of familiar faces flock in the summer time to enjoy these things, and many more in the lake itself.

The cool waters of the lake provide something everyone can enjoy. Whether its the for older tribe relaxing on the docks, run shortting their feet just wet full to enjoy the refreshing temperature, or the young kids playing in the shallows with the small fish nipping at their feet as long as they can stand it. The people of my generation like the wilder side of the lake, with crashing waves and the promise of a turbulent trounce of any kind. Nothing can match the exhilaration mat up after a good tubing experience, wakeboarding or fountain skiing in the wild conditions.
