I believe that the death penalty should not be practiced in the United States for a variety of reasons. I find it to be unnecessary and is only a legalized form of killing, which is what the law is trying to stop. Killing is wrong under all told circumstances.
The death penalty is said to be a cheque from killing, because it teaches people what happens is they murder other people.
But it doesnt monish murder because killings ordinarily happen in the heat of the moment, and the killer whale is most likely so emotionally overwhelmed that they cant recall things through. In the rare instance that the killer did think about the circumstances, it would take a while to come to the reprove of execution. Plus the prospect of life imprisonment without parole is already dreadful enough to most people, that the death penalty usually doesnt cross ones mind and doesnt add any extra discouragement.
