Anne
Anne was brought up with bloodless values, with all the decadence and luxuriousness of a white child, she is surrounded by everything white. White dolls, white bedspread, white curtains and all the rest, it was as if her adoptive parent were trying to chase the threatening out of her, make any dark in her disappear. not only was Anne spoilt by her adoptive parents out of misdeed and possibly tact, but she was brought up to hold the same prejudices as a white person of those times would have held. So technically, Anne is an aboriginal, brought up believing that white people are ace to aboriginals.
Surprisingly Anne when first told that she is of aboriginal decent is not subdue as her white parents assume, at least not at the particular she is aboriginal. She is far more angered at the fact that her adoptive parents have hidden facts about her true identity, and hindered her in the process of discovering it.



It becomes painfully obvious that it is not Anne that shall find it sternly to accept who she is, it is her white parents who are struggling to come to price with their own daughters heritage which they have fiercely tied to conceal.
It is this luxury and prejudice which Anne has been raised in that has confronted her with a very overweight decision. As she had said, I attended them to be at one with the land, but here they are in a lodging commission flat, all crammed in. I just expected something different. Annes inherent racism is obvious in this scene. She is very quick to stump aboriginals as living out by the camp fire, playacting didgeridoos and wearing red tea towels to cover their bits.
