Suffering has been known to the orbit since the Garden of Eden. In life we recognise many things as we age. That Santa Claus doesnt exist or that the Easter bunny rabbit and the Tooth Fairy are not real. Likewise we discover sin. In the story eve in Darkness, the childlike three-year-old woman is exposed to sin. She represents a modern even figure who is stark until she is led astray by her cousin Victoria. The young miss portrays Eve, notwithstanding does not fully follow her path and fall. In the end she retains her innocence by her childish creativity.
The story relates to the unmatched of Eve and the Garden of Eden. The young miss and Eve jibe each other. In the beginning of time Adam and Eve were made in Gods image. In the Bible Eve lived in a perfect world where she could ask anything she ever could have desired. This world was perfect like the young girls. However, the young girls world doesnt take place in a garden but rather in her grandmothers dim, austere living room where a statue of Eve holding an apple stands (18). God had only command Adam and Eve one thing, that they not eat the yield of one forbidden tree, the tree of knowledge which holds good and evil. The young girl in the story sees this fruit in the kind of an apple in Eves hand. Now Eve saw how ravishing the tree was and how good its fruit would be to eat, and she thought how extraordinary it would be to become wise (Genesis 3:6).
The young girl also has a lack of knowledge like Eve. Eve meets a snake who is really Satan in disguise. He tempts Eve to eat the forbidden fruit and like the young girl, Eve...
I was expecting the essay to be about child abuse or something. It turned out to be more of a carry report. I think the backup needs to be changed. If the title was changed, I would have left me more satisfied. As a book report its very good.
