The function of Taylorism in contemporary circumstance

Introduction
In the beginning of 20th century, since industrial revolution expanded in the United States after the civic War, every company want to increase their sales as much as possible to meet the demand of market. However, the centering they approach in order to increase sale was inefficacious because of over-exploiting employees and using the application of the old rule of thumbs a traditional principle which is not intended to be precise and liable aimed to help managers make decisions more easily through devotion (Burthless 2004). This not only led to negative publicity for these companies, except also inaccurate calculation in allocating tasks for workers based on their performance.



Therefore, the term of Taylorism was first introduced to maximize the efficiency of labors performance through observing workers, studying their movements, and removing all unneeded or wasteful motions in the process, as Sengers (2004) asserted. Despite the fact that the theory of scientific management gradually became outdated in 1930s; the basic content of the theory still plays a key role in many industries as advantageously as management application temporarily (Barone 2011).
