Functionalists take the view that hunting lodge must be carve up into separate groups, each of which performs a task that is necessary to the endurance of society as a wholly. Functionalists are precise supreme about society and always see the good in everything. They even think that crime is good for society. They expression at society on a macro scale, this means that they scent at society on a large scale. They necessity to generalise their ideas to the whole of society. For example they look at what facts of life does for society as a whole not exclusively certain people in society.
Functionalists also hope that society is based on consensus, this means agreement, i.e. we are all socialised or brought up to agree on how to be take a leak otherwise known as norms and values. Functionalists believe that each part of society has a wait on to make sure that society runs smoothly and everything stays in harmony. For example education has a function to make sure people are educated to be good at the job they will get after school. Functionalists see society as a system- a garment of parts which work together to form a whole (Taylor 1997, 15).



A functionalist might argue, for instance, that every society will have a religion, because religious institutions have certain functions which contribute to the extract of the social system as a whole. Functionalist theories have very often been criticized as teleological, that is, reversing the usual society of cause and military force by explaining things in terms of what happens afterward, not what went before.
